Post: Am I ready to quit my job???

There's never going to be an exact time when you're "ready".  You can always be more ready if you work and save one more year etc....unfortunately you can end up spending you're entire life waiting to be "ready".

Run your numbers and if the numbers tell you that you can quit your job and you want to quit your job then do it.  You have to do what makes you happy though, if the security that your job gives you makes you happy then stick around.  It depends on your valuation of freedom vs. security.

I quit my job about a year ago...it's been amazing to say the least....no stress from work, no boss, traveled to NYC to see friends for 10 days , to Cali for a RE meetup and to see friends and drive up and down Big Sur for 14 days, just got back from a 5 day trip to New Orleans to see friends....and Feb 3rd I leave to Thailand for a month or 2.  It's only been a year but it's been great.  All the free time I got after quitting my day job also freed up some brainspace and I've been able to do some pretty nice deals since I quit that I don't think I would have done if I was working full time.  If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me...and we'll see how i'm doing 2 or 3 years out , but so far so good.  Hopefully we get a few replies from full time investors that quit their day jobs a few years ago.

No matter what you decide to do Good Luck : )

I'd stick to your first 3 steps.  That's what I did and i've had good success.  Most of the more experienced guys on the site would likely advise that as well.  Good luck man, let e know if you have any questions as i've followed the steps you outlined and had good success with that.

I sell all my deals to a hedge fund rep. Just market some good deals to your local REIA or other investor outlets you have and they will find you.

This is cool I can't wait to check these out in December!

1. Live 2 months Abroad :  ) Get Some Muay Thai Training and Beach Time in

2. Add 2,000/passive cash flow per month to my rental business.

3. Market more than I ever have 5,000 -15,000 mailers per month.

4. Make $500,000 Net This Year through Wholesale and Rehab deals in Austin and Houston.

5. Be happier than I have been any other year of my life!

Best of luck to all of you guys in 2015! Write your goals down somewhere and read them at least once a day when you wake up.  If you can, read them in the morning and then before bed again, when I started doing that my investing completely changed.  Happy 2015!

Hey Guys : )  i'll be coming up from Austin as well.

I am an Austin investor and have never been to SF so I figured what better time than now! I have a good understanding and good knowledge of SFR rentals in Austin and Wholesaling in Austin, and SFR rentals in deep south texas (college areas).

Looking to meet new people , have a good time, and maybe learn some marketing strategies or strategies on planning/systematizing my growth into the Houston market.

I can offer great conversation : ) and a willingness to openly share any experience i've had or anything I know.  I'm 28 so those experiences come in a more limited scope than those of a lot of people here, nonetheless I'd love to share them!

Happy Wednesday everybody, can't wait to meet you guys!
