Post: Reasonable Compensation for Serving Eviction Summons/Complaint?

thats a good deal! for my previous 30 days notice to quit months ago, my lawyer charged me $150 to write up and have a process server serve. in retrospect, i could have done it myself as it wasn't an UD and that one never turned into one, like i feared it would.
this one is already at the next step, as i already served the 3 days pay or quit my self last week, and tenants did neither =L
so now i have prepared all the paperwork and will take my lawyer's advice and have an acquaintance serve them for hopefully $50 since is a neighbor anyways. lawyer said since i'm not likely to get the back rent due even if it goes to collection due to the tenants steep downward spiral, thus to just sue for a clerk's judgment (or something like that) where i just get repo not restitution of monetary damages.
its good to know its pretty much legal to pay an adult for the one time service without breaking any labor laws.

Lawyer advised I can't serve them myself of course since I'm plaintiff so just ask any friend or acquaintance to do so, doesn't have to be a licensed process server. I'd rather it be an arm length distance and a paper trail so will write a check for the errand. He said each of the 4 named defendants has be be served individually. How much should my server be paid per defendant served? And is it legal to compensate for such an errand?

Its been years, maybe a decade since I revisited the site but my mom mentioned she often gets calls from people looking to buy the residential property in Highlands county for years now just as well, and proposed we built something on it.
I'm more into the mediterranean and/or art deco style homes, but with materials price and the current buildup to an inevitable proxy civil war/collapse in america, dont find it worth it to start building a mansion there although the surrounding properties sure do look quite fancy.
We were thinking of going the 'customized' manufactured home route. What i like about the area is just steps away are huge clearwater ponds to swim in (the ones without aliigators?) and it gets more rain so we could grow more water loving plants there as here in Socal we are restricted to drought tolerant plants ie sallow cacti and succulents.

Postlets is now known as Zillow rental manager? I see the zillow brand is taking off, meanwhile whenever I try to click on something on their site (ie, an estimate on a house in California) it will take me to some other totally unrelated, random page, ie, a house for sale inMissouri instead of taking me to what the hyperlink is described as being.

I take the lowest speed of FIOS since FIOS itself should be fast at whatever speed.
This is, will be the last time I share my internet with tenants. There's too many risks, including illegal/illicit use, including copyrighted material and FIOS as you can see is taking harsh measures (slow spleed, freeze account for days, freeze account indefinitely after 6+ file transfers, even if same title).
Additionally, there are the complaints that the wifi signal is poor etc in a certain room (which is pretty much inevitable).. and even when the tenant defaults paying rent altogether and/or abuses it, there might be the future claim of that 'utility' provided prematurely being cut off, even if its complimentary? Plus theres the current issue of persons visiting/occupying tenants also sharing which could further open up cans of worms.
Looking forward, would only consider sharing with a single lodger but never again with tenants, whether residential or commercial.

Got like the 5th warning from Verizon that someone on my internet is downloading and/or uploading/sharing Copyrighted material. It seems doesn't matter if the cuprit reload the same movie or whatever, the same can count a 2nd, 3rd, etc time just as well as a separate infraction.
The first few times were just emails, the 3rd was freeze then slow down speed when restored, and now they froze it and when I called in to restore, they wouldn't til explained to the Copyright claims dept(?) how I'm vacating holdover tenants but have to wait til court order before I can actually cut off anything that can be considered a 'utility'.
In reviewing their rental agreement, luckily it doesnt list internet as one of the utilities included. So I'm wondering when they cut it off again (which they say will be for at least 48hours! til i can even try to restore), at that point do I have the right to discontinue providing internet to the holdover tenants? I'd rather not give them any reason to claim I cut off anything prematurely, if internet can be construed as a utility provided, albeit only orally as a courtesy before their default and breach.
Is there any recent precedence (or in absence, law) established in California courts yet regarding tenants provided with internet but abuse (ie, transfer of copyrighted material) resulting in it being shut down by the provider (Verizon) altogether and to everyone not just the violator?
