Fire damaged just means more inspectors, more work, harder to renovate, liable of having to fix things the contractor did not expect and the price is not good enough in my opinion. I bought a fire damaged for $2000 and renovation it. I do not know the situation but fire-damaged should be deeply discounted. I can take a look for you maybe I can help but fire-damaged is a different beast!

congrats on the househack I am doing it in Dearborn, I live above and something to think about is parking like who parks in the driveway and if you charge to have them get. I make them park on the side never in the driveway its only one and it can be hard to get out if cars are always parked behind you.

Making a mastermind and having some of you come to Detroit to invest is smart. You can meet good people and see everything yourselves, very smart. When you come out here be nice to meet all of you and if you need any help I can send contacts of people who help me with my properties.

That is awesome you are moving out here! It is probably a slower pace than San Diego but I am sure you will like it here for personal and real estate investing. I have my own properties so if you're looking for good contacts I can help out!
