@Justin Tasset Did you mean east side? Those are east side. Oak Hills, Western Hills, Price Hill, Delhi, etc. are west side.

@Kirsten F. Have you thought about becoming investors instead of agents? Or at least networking with investors in your area? BP is a good start but there are more ways to be involved with real estate than as an agent.

@Konstantin Samorodskiy I second the REIAGC recommendation. It has definitely given me a great education the last 6 years and now with the focus groups for each RE strategy being online, it is even easier to get what you need. I also recommend the 4 day Ohio REIA conference in November ( OREIA) that has national speakers and attracts a national audience.

@Kyler J Sloan We have one of the few cabins accessible by 2WD in our area so we could maximize rentals but I like your thinking outside of the box. In our area, most listings all state 4WD recommended or required. It definitely keeps just outdoorsy people with 4x4s coming to the area but I would love to increase the market. Definitely update us and would love to connect.

@Kate P. I would love to connect with you. Tampa/StPete is the area we spend a lot of time besides Cincinnati as we have family there so I am always interested in finding something permanent there.

@Ernesto Uribe

Also join your local chapter of Real Estate Investors Association or the chapter where you want to invest. Cincinnati and Columbus have very active chapters that have many meetings and education online with a 3 day nationally-attended conference (OREIA) in November each year. They also have local contractor recommendations, FB groups, etc for every strategy and every type of investor including new investors. Nashville, Atlanta, and Tampa also have very active chapters from what I gather.

Meetups are also a great way, but less formal.

Good luck!!

@Alex Wise I can give you more details on student housing and STR. I started with student housing and still have some. Also have a vacation rental. Just reach out with a DM.

@Alex Wise there is an Airbnb STR group of Columbus and Cincinnati based investors that meets through Central Ohio Real Estate Investors Association (2nd Friday of the month online). Columbus is a great market for Airbnb.

I have a vacation rental elsewhere and long term in Cincinnati. I have been looking at buying an existing STR in West coast of Florida the last couple of years but the gross and returns are less than I am used to with my investments, so not all STR are equal.

Good luck on your journey!

Are you looking for software or are you interested in recording what you do and automating to onboard an intern?
