Hey @Jeremy Golob, Welcome to BP. You've come to the right place. The networking events (Top of the page/community/networking events) are a great place to meet other like-minded individuals and look to assemble a worthy team.

What roles you are looking to fill within your team? I am an investor/agent here in Colorado and am looking for investment opportunities all over(currently reside in Lakewood but hold property in Colorado Springs). My organization is looking to partner with other savvy local investors who know the area well, and in the future acquire large multi-unit structures using those partnerships. Also, my real estate team specializes in working with investors throughout the Front Range. I'd be happy to chat with you sometime about how we can possibly help each other reach our goals. Good luck with your journey!

Hey @Mike Redmer,

Welcome to BP! As you pointed out this is such an incredible resource for valuable information.

I also really enjoyed the most recent podcast with Matt Aitchison, @Joshua Dorkin wasn't lying when he stated this was one of the top 10 podcasts they've done. Matt's a stud and at 27 he's got some huge things ahead. With your interest in multi-unit buildings I also suggest listening to all 3 podcasts with both Serge Shukhat and Ben Leybovich, they're both great and wealth's of knowledge.

I encourage you to come to the local meetups held once a month in Denver. The next one is held on 4/4 here is the link- https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521/topics/28...

These are a great place to meet other local investor's and connect.

You sound like you have a great start to your plan and solid goals. I also have a year one goal of purchasing multiple multi-unit buildings and have started off with one fourplex in Colorado Springs. I'd love to chat sometime about how we can help each other reach our goals.

Hope to see you at the next meetup!

Hey @Michael Brall,

Welcome to BP! I second Anson's recommendation to check out the meetup, its a great place to connect. Also if you haven't already start listening to the BP podcasts. They really helped me narrow down what I want to focus on in real estate investing and then helped me further my education in that specific area. They are a great resource.

What areas of real estate investing currently spark your interest?

Hey @Russell Gronsky,

Sounds like you are off to a solid start. I'm also interested in owning multi-family buildings in Colorado and would love to chat with you sometime about how we might be able to help each other achieve that. Good luck with your journey!

Good for you @Terri O'Brien! That's a great "accidental" landlord story and it sounds like you've handled it well. I love how much enthusiasm and ambition you have to continue.

If you have equity in either of the two homes you own then one option you could utilize would be to use a Home equity line of credit (HELOC) to draw against the equity in your current properties and use it to acquire another rental. That is just one creative way to finance real estate without having cash to buy. There are many other creative ways that investors also use, such as hard money lenders and private financing.

I recommend listening to the BP podcasts (hover over Education at the top of the page then click podcast). There is so much great information between the podcasts and the forums. Good luck with the rest of your journey! Let me know if I can help in any way.

@Scott Trench I love the idea of a meetup and I would attend next Friday, March 25th if we set it! Sounds like a great opportunity to meet other young, ambitious investors.

@Dorothy Ma, We might be able to make an exception for you. :)

Hey @Crystal Wilson! The next Bigger Pockets meetup in Denver is held on 4/4. Here is the link for that-https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521/topics/26...

These meetups are a great opportunity to talk with other investors as well as connect with agents and speak to them face to face. If I were you I would interview at least 3 agents before you choose one for the job. Make sure they are ready and willing to cater to YOUR needs, not find properties that work for their commissions.

Congratulations on your acquisition! It looks like a beautiful property.  It's very clear that persistence and determination is the way to find great deals. I'm curious how did she respond to the first 7 months of calls? Was she responsive and willing to discuss making a deal? Separate meters is also a huge plus.

I'm also interested in the land you just purchased. Would you mind laying out some details of that deal also?
